Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication expertise, with a focus on TIG welding and sheet metal work. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise mechanical knowledge and hand tools in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation and assembly of high-quality metal components. Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various materials, specialising in Aluminium welding techniques
- Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment
- Work with sheet metal to cut, shape, and assemble parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with fabrication processes and equipment
- Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Read technical drawings and perform basic measurements using appropriate tools such as rulers or calipers
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of TIG /MIG welding standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, including cutting, bending, and assembling processes
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Experience in assembly processes is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience with welding or fabrication in an industrial setting is preferred
- Driving license preferred
