Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing procurement data, developing insightful reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise advanced data analysis tools and techniques within a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, experience with various data management systems, and a keen eye for detail to optimise procurement operations effectively.

Duties

Analyse procurement data using tools such as SQL, R, Python, and specialised business intelligence platforms like Tableau and Power BI.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support procurement strategies and optimise supply chain efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Design and implement database structures in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Utilise project management methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver high-quality data solutions on time.
Perform business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements within procurement workflows.
Create visualisations and documentation using Visio and VBA to facilitate stakeholder understanding of complex data insights.
Support database design initiatives and automate routine tasks using Bash (Unix shell scripting) where applicable.
Ensure compliance with organisational standards for data security, quality, and governance.

Qualifications

Proven experience in data analysis within procurement or supply chain environments.
Proficiency in SQL programming along with experience in R, Python, VBA, Bash scripting, and Power BI or Tableau for data visualisation.
Strong understanding of database management systems such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
Knowledge of SDLC processes and project management principles.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately.
Familiarity with business analysis techniques and database design principles.
Experience working with Visio for process mapping is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
