An exciting temporary opportunity to join a team in a residential and dementia care home based in Woolton Hill in Newbury .

The role involves the day to day fixing of things, painting and up keeping of the home. this includes compliance health and safety.

hours are 8-4pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays

Holiday pay is 28 days holiday per year.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify issues before they escalate
Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and building infrastructure
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working procedures.
Respond promptly to urgent repair requests to minimise disruption within the care home environment
Liaise with management regarding maintenance schedules and project planning to optimise operational efficiency

Skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination
Customer service orientation to address residents’ needs courteously and professionally
