Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have some experience in pharmacy settings and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Prepare and label medication containers in accordance with prescriptions and legal requirements
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising pharmaceutical supplies
Provide guidance to patients on medication usage and answer basic queries under supervision
Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and inventory management
Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in all patient-related activities

Skills

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors in dispensing
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality
Basic understanding of healthcare regulations and legal requirements related to pharmaceuticals
