The Congress Theatre, Devonshire Park Theatre, and Winter Garden, along with conferencing and exhibition facilities are collectively known as Eastbourne Theatres and form part of the award-winning Devonshire Quarter complex. The venues are widely regarded as jewels in the crown of South-East entertainment.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Facilitating the needs of the various users and show requirements of Eastbourne Theatres, to undertake the provision of general duties with the full-time technical team. The postholder is responsible for:

Assisting with the smooth running of shows and performances within Eastbourne Theatres.
Helping to maintain and organise costumes.
Helping performers in and out of their costumes during shows.

You are a hands-on and detail-oriented with a keen eye for costume care and presentation. With experience in wardrobe or backstage support, you understand the fast-paced demands of live performance and thrive in a collaborative, high-pressure environment. You take pride in ensuring costumes are show-ready—clean and correctly set—so performers can step on stage with confidence. Whether you're assisting with quick changes, maintaining costume continuity, or coordinating with performers and the wardrobe supervisor, your calm efficiency, practical mindset, and flexible approach make you an essential part of the backstage team.
