What You’ll Do At Elekta:
We’re looking for a Senior UX Researcher to lead user research and usability testing across Elekta’s hardware and software products. You will be responsible for leading usability testing, user risk analysis and the associated documentation needed for regulatory submissions This role plays a key part in shaping safe, effective, and intuitive user experiences, including research for regulated medical devices and supporting regulatory submissions.
You’ll work closely with UX, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams, helping bring user insights into product decisions.
Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver user research and usability testing across the product lifecycle
Plan and run studies such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and task analysis
Define and align usability strategy with product and regulatory requirements
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Clinical and Regulatory
Act as a subject matter expert in usability within product teams
Identify risks early and adapt to changing priorities
Communicate insights clearly and advocate for user-centred design
Support and guide more junior team members
Manage external research partners where needed
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in UX research, human factors or usability (typically 4+ years)
Strong hands-on experience across a range of research methods, with the ability to choose the right approach
Experience working on regulated products (medical devices preferred)
Understanding of usability standards and risk management (e.g. IEC 62366, ISO 14971, FDA guidelines)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Interest in working with complex clinical or technical products
Familiarity with Agile ways of working
Experience with tools like Miro, FigJam or similar
