Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Prior experience in janitorial services, or hospital environments is highly desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces, bedrooms and en suites
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure hygienic standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures
- Dispose of waste responsibly and replenish supplies as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial services, or hospital cleaning environments is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks over extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Previous experience in hospital settings is a plus but not essential
