Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food, maintaining food safety standards, and fostering a positive team environment. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for culinary excellence to uphold the reputation of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes.
Manage and motivate the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service.
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation across all dishes.
Develop and implement menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Train staff on food safety procedures, proper cooking techniques, and customer service standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
Extensive food production knowledge with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire confidence among team members.
Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments.
Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
