We are a growing fire safety company providing high-quality fire protection solutions to commercial, industrial and construction clients. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Fire Systems Engineer to join our team.
This is a varied role involving the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of a range of fire safety systems, with opportunities to develop your skills across multiple disciplines.
The Role
As a Fire Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
- Installing, testing and maintaining emergency lighting systems.
- Installing and maintaining temporary wireless fire alarm systems on construction sites.
- Commissioning, servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure systems remain fully operational.
- Completing service reports and certification accurately using digital systems.
- Ensuring all work complies with current British Standards and relevant fire safety regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service while working on client sites.
- Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicles to a high standard.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of emergency lighting systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Desirable:
- Experience with temporary site fire alarm systems.
- Experience commissioning and servicing portable fire extinguishers.
- FIA, BAFE or other relevant fire industry qualifications.
- ECS or CSCS card.
- IPAF or PASMA certification (advantageous but not essential).
