About Us

We are a busy, 7-surgery NHS dental practice located in the heart of Margate, delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced and supportive environment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Dental Practice Manager to join our team.

Overview of the Role

The Assistant Dental Practice Manager will monitor and ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the practice while providing direct support to the Practice Manager. This is a key leadership role within the practice, supporting both the clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Supporting the Practice Manager in the daily running of the practice
Supporting the clinical team and ensuring diaries are full and optimised
Dealing with staff issues including grievances and disciplinaries
Managing training and inductions for new starters
Overseeing recruitment for the practice
Monitoring and managing practice ordering and stock control
Delivering practice targets set out by the NHS
Completing tasks and following regulations to ensure the site is fully compliant
Ensuring audits, logs, and records are kept up to date
Ensuring all staff comply with current legislation including Fire Regulations, Health & Safety, CQC regulations, RIDDOR, and COSHH
Enforcing standard operating procedures across the practice

Essential Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills (Essential)

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

Previous management experience
Previous experience within the dental sector
Experience in equality and diversity
Experience in complaints handling

Job Type: Full Time (5 days per week)
