Business Development Manager
Commercial Construction, Refurbishments and Maintenance | Kent-based, covering South East England
You have spent years building a valuable network that opens doors, but somewhere along the way, your company stopped noticing your wins.
This is a story all too familiar in the construction sector, where brilliant business development professionals often find themselves treated like a number rather than a key growth partner. If that rings true, this is worth five minutes of your time.
This role offers -
- True Professional Autonomy: No scripts and no micromanagement, just the freedom to run your pipeline your way.
- Direct Leadership Access: A visible seat at the table with the decision makers where your voice genuinely matters.
- Regional Growth Potential: Perfect for local experts or anyone looking to relocate to the beautiful South East and take ownership of a thriving market.
I am working with a well-established, highly respected commercial construction and maintenance contractor based in Kent. They have built a rock-solid reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client relationships across the South East, and they are ready for their next phase of growth.
They need a Business Development Manager who already knows this space inside out. We are looking for someone with real relationships, genuine credibility, and the sharp commercial instincts needed to convert casual conversations into valuable contracts.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be:
- Generating exciting new project opportunities across commercial construction and small works.
- Securing profitable maintenance contracts and building predictable, recurring revenue streams.
- Strengthening relationships with key contractors, developers, consultants, and property managers.
- Representing the business at industry events and high-level client meetings.
- Shaping the sales pipeline and feeding directly into the growth strategy at the leadership level.
Imagine working for a business where your name is actually attached to your wins, and your success is celebrated rather than taken for granted. You will be transitioning from a rigid, overstructured corporate machine into an agile, growing business that gives you the platform to shine. Your network, your reputation, and your skills will finally get the recognition and reward they deserve.
If you are ready for a straight, confidential conversation about whether this role fits your career goals, let's talk.
Pay: £40,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
