Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our team.

Working Days:

- Tuesday

- Thursday

- Friday

- Saturday

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy retail environment and has an interest in DIY, home improvement, and gardening. Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Greeting customers warmly and assisting with their shopping needs

- Providing advice on home, DIY, and gardening products

- Helping customers select suitable products based on their requirements

- Operating tills and processing transactions accurately

- Pricing stock and replenishing shelves

- Maintaining attractive product displays and ensuring the shop floor is tidy and well organised

- Carrying out general duties throughout the store

- Assisting with stock handling, including some heavy lifting

- Answering customer enquiries in person and over the telephone

What We’re Looking For

- Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills

- Strong communication and organisational abilities

- Reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- A proactive attitude and willingness to help customers

- An interest in DIY, home improvement, or gardening would be an advantage

This role is ideal for someone who is personable, organised, and eager to develop their skills while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
