P.A. Hollingworth & Co are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi Trader / General Builder to join our growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role working across a range of residential, commercial, and heritage projects. We are looking for someone with good all-round building knowledge who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and works well both independently and as part of a team.
Roles;
Though we do not necessarily expect the ideal candidates to hold trade specific qualifications, we are looking for someone who is able to carry out a variety of general building and multi-trade works to a reasonable standard including basic:
- Carpentry
- Plastering
- Bricklaying
- General repairs and maintenance
- Concreting and groundwork
- Structural alterations
Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance and refurbishment works to a high standard
- Some ability to read and interpret drawings and job specifications preferred
- Ensure sites are kept clean, safe, and organised
- Work alongside other trades and site managers to complete projects on time
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in general building or multi-trade roles
- Strong practical knowledge across multiple trades
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full, clean, UK driving licence
Desirable
- NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in a relevant trade
- Experience working on refurbishment or heritage projects
- First Aid certification
- Experience operating small plant or machinery

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week

Experience
- General building: 3 years preferred
- Multi-trade work: 3 years preferred
Pay: From £35,770.00 per year
