Rapid Response Ambulance Service is a CQC-registered independent ambulance provider delivering regulated patient transport and event medical services across the Midlands and supporting NHS and independent healthcare providers with skilled ambulance personnel.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Student Paramedics to join our expanding workforce for the summer period. Whether you're looking to build your clinical confidence, maintain your patient contact hours or gain experience working within an operational ambulance environment, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced ambulance clinicians, develop your communication and patient care skills, and experience the day-to-day operation of a professional ambulance service.
What You'll Be Doing
Working as part of an ambulance crew, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients.
- Safely transport patients between hospitals, healthcare facilities and their homes.
- Assist patients with mobility and moving, and handling.
- Monitor patient wellbeing throughout their journey.
- Work alongside experienced ambulance professionals to deliver safe and effective care.
- Complete patient records and operational documentation.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment remain clean, safe and operationally ready.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from Student Paramedics who:
- are currently studying towards a Paramedic Science degree.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism and a patient-centred approach.
- Are able to work effectively within a team.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Are willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and pre-employment screening.
- Can provide evidence of mandatory training (where applicable).
Previous ambulance or healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.

Successful applicants will be required to complete pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check, right to work verification, occupational health clearance and satisfactory references before commencing work.
All appointments are made subject to operational requirements and successful completion of the recruitment process.
Pay: £12.80-£14.00 per hour
