Our opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and committed Teaching Assistant, to work at Long Marston CE Primary School within our EYFS/KS1 class.
Our Teaching Assistants play an important part in our village schools’ lives and make an invaluable contribution to our close teams. You will work with teachers to motivate, inspire and support our children to develop a love of learning and achieve their potential. As HLTA, you will support the delivery of teaching and learning within the classroom. This may be delivering small group work with KS1 or supporting high quality interactions within EYFS.
We are looking for someone with:
- The ability to motivate and encourage children, providing reassurance and help with learning tasks;
- A positive, nurturing and calm approach to all children and all behaviours, supporting children with their emotional wellbeing;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and other members of the wider school community;
- The ability to work proactively and flexibly as part of our committed team;
- A positive attitude and outlook.
The successful candidate must hold English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or equivalent. It is required for candidates to have HLTA status or a relevant NVQ level 4 or foundation degree.
