We are looking for a motivated and organised Payroll Senior to join our team, supporting the delivery of a high quality service to a varied client base. This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for managing client payrolls while working closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure efficiency, accuracy and excellent customer care. About the role
As a Payroll Senior, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient and high quality payroll service to a varied portfolio of clients. A key focus of this role will be managing payroll processes from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time and in line with current legislation while maintaining excellent client care.
You will be responsible for processing weekly and monthly payrolls, preparing reports and submitting information to HMRC and pension providers. The role also involves acting as a main point of contact for client queries, providing clear and timely support and building strong working relationships.
Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will support the day to day running of the team, assisting with workflow management, identifying opportunities to improve processes and helping to maintain high standards across the department. You will also contribute to the development of junior team members by providing guidance and support where needed.
In addition, you will assist with maintaining compliance, keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and ensuring all client data is handled securely and accurately. This is a varied and rewarding role where attention to detail, organisation and strong communication skills are key, offering the opportunity to contribute to a busy and client focused payroll team.
Application Process
This is a part-time position up to 30 hours per week.
The salary is £27,500 – £30,000 per annum full time equivalent (pro rata in accordance with the number of hours worked.)
