Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator and Assistant Bookkeeper to support our finance and administrative functions. This role involves managing bookkeeping tasks, assisting with financial record-keeping, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, experience with accounting software, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Duties

Assist with maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices and payments
Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
Reconcile bank statements and maintain ledger entries
Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
Provide general administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
Assist with payroll processing and other bookkeeping duties as required
Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or financial reviews

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role is desirable
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous but not essential
