We are seeking an experienced and motivated E-Learning Curriculum Developer / Instructional Designer to support the design, development and continuous improvement of engaging, learner-focused educational programmes.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an educational professional who is passionate about learning, workforce development and improving learner outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing online courses, educational resources, learner assessments and workforce development programmes that support both individual learners and organisational clients.
You will work closely with subject matter experts, employers, trainers and stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning experiences that meet industry requirements and support business growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Development
- Design and develop engaging online learning programmes.
- Create structured learning pathways and learner journeys.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work and educational resources.
- Review and update existing curriculum materials.
- Ensure learning outcomes align with employer and learner needs.
Instructional Design
- Apply instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences.
- Develop learner-centred course content.
- Create interactive learning activities and assessments.
- Produce learner workbooks, facilitator guides and support materials.
Learner Assessment
- Develop formative and summative assessments.
- Design competency-based learning activities.
- Monitor learner engagement and completion outcomes.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with employers and industry partners.
- Work with trainers and subject matter experts.
- Gather learner feedback to improve programme quality.
- Support workforce development consultancy projects.
Educational Quality
- Ensure learning materials meet organisational quality standards.
- Support curriculum reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain compliance with awarding body and industry requirements where applicable.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- Degree in Education, Learning & Development, Health & Social Care, Business Management, Psychology, Educational Technology, Training Management or related discipline.
OR
- Equivalent professional experience in education, training, workforce development or curriculum development.
Essential Experience
Applicants should demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:
- Designing, delivering or supporting learning programmes.
- Facilitating workshops, group learning activities or educational sessions.
- Creating educational resources, lesson plans, learner materials or training content.
- Working within Health & Social Care, Mental Health, Community Development, Employability or Workforce Development environments.
- Supporting individuals to achieve developmental, educational or behavioural outcomes.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Monitoring, recording and evaluating learner or participant progress.
- Producing reports, maintaining records and supporting quality assurance activities.
