Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in the United Kingdom. Based in our office, this role is vital for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our company's financial health. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering excellence in the fitness industry.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Purchase Ledger

Working with key suppliers to:

> Inputting supplier invoices and payments on Orderwise and Sage.

> Verifying that goods or services from suppliers have taken place

> Reconciling supplier statements

> Processing payments to suppliers

Sales Ledger

> Processing customer payments and releases orders into the business for despatch once payment has been made

> Sending customer receipts as appropriate

> Weekly processing of customer invoices

> Credit control and weekly statements

Other Duties

> Dealing with customer and supplier queries over the phone and via email.

> Provide support to the Financial Controller with any other ad hoc duties as required.

> Provide cover for the Financial Controller in their absence.

> Filing and administration

> Working with customers and suppliers with the resolution of queries.

Dimensions/Scope of the Job:

Customer base circa 7000 customers
Supplier base circa 1000 suppliers
Core range of products ranging in price from £100 - £50000

Confident communication skills, able to liaise with people at all levels both inside and outside the business.

Flexible, adaptable approach to work.

An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

An ability to work both independently and as a team member.

Specific Job Skills:

At least 12 months experience of working at a similar level.

Proficient user of commonly used software, SAGE 50, Excel, Word.
