Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 Operator/Groundworker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have experience operating excavators and driving commercial vehicles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on site.
Duties
- Operate 360-degree excavators safely and efficiently to move earth, debris, and materials as required.
- Perform groundworks including trenching, levelling, and site preparation tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site set-up, including the installation of safety barriers and signage.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans accurately and within deadlines.
- Drive commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials between sites.
- Follow health and safety regulations strictly to maintain a secure working environment.
- Report any machinery faults or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
Experience
- Proven experience operating 360-degree excavators in a construction or civil engineering environment.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic machinery issues.
- Experience in groundworks, including excavation, trenching, and site levelling.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC desirable but not essential).
- Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Pay: £150.00-£220.00 per day
