Full job description

Tams Brig Surgery, Ayr is seeking to recruit an Administrator to join our busy team. The post will be for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the successful candidate being available to work four days between the hours of 7.45am and 5.30pm throughout the week.

Duties include but are not limited to;

Reception and administration duties including
Answering the telephone
Dealing with patients at the reception desk
Deal with mail, results, prescriptions and general queries
Scanning and filing documents to patient medical records
Liaising with patients, GPs, Practice Nurses and colleagues
Provide cover for appropriate staff as required
Other appropriate tasks as required by the practice
Care navigate patients to the most appropriate member of the health care team
Support patients through our practice systems

Required to communicate effectively and possess an aptitude for dealing with potentially difficult or demanding situations.

As an administrator, you will utilise your core skills in office and administrative experience to provide essential support in a healthcare setting. Your role will involve assisting patients with appointments, managing medical records, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Your premium skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving will be crucial in addressing patient enquiries and concerns effectively. Relevant skills in medical terminology and patient confidentiality will further enhance your ability to deliver high-quality care and support to patients.
