Roodlea Barn is looking for a warm, confident and friendly person to help host private viewings at the barn on a part-time basis.
This role would suit someone who enjoys meeting people, feels comfortable speaking with the public and can represent Roodlea in a professional, genuine and welcoming way.
As our Viewing Host, you will be one of the first people future couples meet when they come to see the barn. You will show them around the venue, talk them through how weddings work at Roodlea and help them picture their day here.
We are ideally looking for someone with sales experience, particularly within weddings, events or hospitality, although this is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is personable, reliable and confident, with a natural ability to make people feel at ease.
The role will include
- Welcoming couples and their families to Roodlea Barn for private viewings
- Showing visitors around the barn, bar, outdoor areas and accommodation spaces
- Talking through the different wedding options available at Roodlea
- Answering common questions about the venue and how the day can work
- Getting to know the barn well, so you can speak about it clearly and confidently
- Representing Roodlea in a warm, professional and enthusiastic way
- Passing on any follow-up notes or questions to the team after viewings
We are looking for someone who is
- Confident speaking to couples, families and members of the public
- Warm, friendly and naturally welcoming
- Professional in how they communicate and present themselves
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
- Interested in weddings, events and hospitality
- Able to learn the details of the venue and talk about it with genuine enthusiasm
- Sales experience would be helpful, especially in weddings or events, but it is not essential for the right person.
Working hours
This is a part-time role, with viewings mainly taking place on:
Saturday mornings
Sunday afternoons
Weekday evenings
There may be some flexibility depending on enquiries and viewing availability.

Roodlea Barn is a family-run wedding and events venue in South Ayrshire. We offer a relaxed, characterful barn setting for couples who want a wedding day that feels personal to them.
Our viewings are an important part of what we do. They give couples the chance to see the space properly, ask questions and get a feel for whether Roodlea is the right venue for their day.
