Stoddart’s are one of the leading beef suppliers in Scotland, with a fully integrated supply chain, from farm to supermarket shelf! We produce high quality beef products for our customers based in the UK, Europe and globally.
We are on the lookout for a QA Technician to become an integral part of the technical team based in Ayr. You would be responsible for carrying out all relevant checks, maintaining technical standards in-line with legislation and customer requirements within the factory.
Your duties will include: -
· Conducting hourly checks throughout production which include but is not limited to: Despatch checks, label checks, metal detection CCP checks, temperature checks, product quality checks, animal welfare monitoring
· Following testing schedule to make sure all chemical and microbiological swabs and product samples are taken on time and sent to the lab
· Conducting start-up checks prior to production beginning to ensure the factory is of the required standard
· Carrying out audits on factory standards and against customer codes of practice and industry standards
· Conducting calibration checks of monitoring equipment
· Identifying any product that does not meet specification, raising non-conformances and working with production to rectify the issue
· Conduct glass and hard plastic audits on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week). The hours of work may change from time to time in accordance with the needs of the business, therefore flexibility is required.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
