Ramsay & Jackson are one of Ayrshire’s leading suppliers of agricultural, construction, and groundcare equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated time-served Agricultural / Construction Engineer to join our busy and dynamic team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with all departments to deliver a high standard of service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs on agricultural and construction equipment, both on-site and within our workshop
- Diagnose faults across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new machinery
- Provide customers with professional service advice and support
- Maintain company vehicle to a high standard
- Ensure service records and job cards are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
- Relevant engineering qualification or a minimum of 4 years’ experience within an engineering role
- Previous experience in agricultural and/or construction engineering (preferred but not essential, as manufacturer training will be provided)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours during busy periods
Working Hours
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
- Occasional weekend work required (paid at overtime rate)
- On-call rota: 1 weekend in 8 (paid with shift allowance and overtime rates)

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
