Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents, contribute to our vibrant dining experience, and work within a professional kitchen setting. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent food preparation skills, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to deliver exceptional meal quality consistently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Assist in meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect results
Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
Support the team during busy periods, maintaining high standards of service and presentation

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Experience with meal preparation, particularly grilling techniques, is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates with relevant culinary skills
Serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory
