TDK Mechanical Services is a growing mechanical services contractor delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction or M&E who is looking to develop their commercial career alongside an experienced Quantity Surveying team.
The Role
Working closely with our Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial support across multiple projects, helping to ensure contracts are delivered profitably, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with client valuations and applications
- Supporting the preparation of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
- Managing project variations
- Monitoring project costs and budgets
- Assisting with procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Preparing purchase orders and subcontract agreements
- Supporting subcontractor applications and payment processes
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation
- Working closely with Project Managers and Contract Managers
- Building positive relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience within a Quantity Surveying, Commercial or Construction environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- A full UK Driving Licence
It would be an advantage if you have:
- Experience within Mechanical & Electrical, Building Services or Utilities
- An HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction Management
