Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces in construction and renovation projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the aesthetic and protective qualities of buildings and structures. Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure a smooth finish
Applying primer, paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensuring all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations
Mixing paints and colours as required for specific projects
Protecting surrounding areas from overspray or drips during application
Cleaning tools and equipment after each job
Assisting with site preparation and organising materials for efficient workflow
Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or similar roles is preferred
Strong knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques
Excellent communication skills in English to understand instructions and liaise with clients and colleagues
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and minimise errors
