Part-Time Pharmacist – McKay Pharmacy Group
Primary Base: Westminster Avenue (Belfast)

With established branches in Belfast (Westminster Avenue), Newtownards and Templepatrick, we work closely with local GP practices and care homes, playing an important role at the heart of each community we serve.
We are currently seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join our team, working 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday), with the option of additional days for rota cover if desired.
This role is primarily based at our Westminster Avenue branch in Belfast, with occasional, planned cover across our other locations. This offers a great balance of consistency with some variety.
You will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable team of Pharmacists, Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technicians and Dispensing Technicians, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care and clinical services.
Our pharmacies are equipped with a bespoke digital workflow management system, a leading automated patient adherence system, and robotic dispensing technology in our Belfast and Newtownards branches. This provides a modern, efficient and rewarding working environment where you can develop your clinical skills and professional expertise.

Essential Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a qualified Pharmacist, registered and in good standing with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland
- Have strong post-qualification experience in a busy pharmacy environment
- Be IT literate and comfortable using Windows-based systems
- Be confident managing high prescription volumes with efficiency and accuracy
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Be willing to provide flexible cover across all three branches when required
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with McLernons Pharmacy Software
- Experience working with Care Homes
- Experience delivering clinical services or patient clinics, including vaccinations
