Full job description

Van / HGV Mechanics

Due to continued growth and increasing workshop demand, Thomas McCrea & Co Ltd are seeking skilled VAN / HGV Mechanics to join our growing team in Newtownabbey.

Day to Day Duties:

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs
Diagnose faults using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment
Complete job cards accurately and in line with workshop and brand processes
Carry out inspections and identify repair requirements proactively
Recording test results and findings and maintaining records to manufacturer requirements.
Ensure all work meets safety, compliance and quality standards
Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve efficiency and service quality
Stay up to date with new vehicle technologies and repair techniques
Support and mentor apprentices within the workshop
Road testing vehicles to check repairs.

What we’re looking for

City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair / City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Ability to work in a competent and efficient manner both as part of a team and independently.
Full UK driving licence and your own tools
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and develop with ongoing Maxus training
