AVW Fabrications Ltd is a family run business established in 1988 and located in Leicester with close links to the M1, M69 and A46. We specialise in laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication and pride ourselves on excellent customer service.
We are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator to join our growing family, who displays an enthusiastic, positive attitude and is able to work from both sets of instructions and use their initiative.
Key Role
- Ability to follow drawings and specification accurately.
- Welding various fabricated materials.
- Welding, Laser cutting, shearing, bending and punching using the relevant machinery as required.
- Working with other staff members by coordinating workload.
- Adhering to Health & Safety Regulations.
- All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.
Experience/Skills
- The ability to read and interpret detailed drawings.
- Experience in all aspects of welding/fabrication.
- Experience of Amada lasers/press/punch machines would be preferential however full training will be given.
- Forklift Licence would be preferable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Worked with sheet metal or in a manufacturing background
- Accurate measuring ability, good numeracy skills and experience of using a tape measure and other measuring devices
- Relevant qualifications would be desirable

Job Type: Full-Time, permanent
Salary: Depending on experience and skills
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm & Friday 7:30am to 2pm
