Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fittings and fixtures in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems, combined with practical hands-on skills to ensure high-quality workmanship. The Bathroom Fitter will work closely with clients and team members to deliver efficient and professional service, contributing to the enhancement of our clients' spaces.

Responsibilities

Installing bathroom suites, including baths, showers, sinks, toilets, and associated fittings
Repairing or replacing damaged or outdated bathroom fixtures and fittings
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations
Managing plumbing connections and ensuring leak-free installations
Heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation tasks
Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborating with other tradespeople such as electricians or tilers when necessary
Completing all jobs within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards

Skills

Proficiency in plumbing, carpentry, and assembly techniques
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
