Join the Close Brothers Credit Risk Team where you will be responsible for building, testing, implementing, and maintaining Credit Risk new business strategies within Close Brothers Powercurve / SDS underwriting and credit decisioning systems.
Working as part of the Credit Acquisitions team our ideal team member will have previous experience in building, testing, and implementing credit acquisition strategy including the coding of strategies, system development and testing with excellent coding skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and test of new credit risk strategies, policy rules, scorecards & cut-offs, and orchestration within the various Close Brothers Powercurve credit decisioning systems

Scope and specify detailed requirements for changes requested to credit and orchestration strategies

Execute credit testing requirements and provide support & investigation for defect resolution, liaising with IT, Change and testing teams

Aid the development of on-going BAU strategy development change control and testing governance procedures

Provide support for business initiatives and projects requiring risk systems expertise, to develop requirements, and then execute on build, test and delivery

Promote the development of ongoing credit strategy documentation and monitoring framework and MI reporting

Producing regular Risk Systems team updates for the wider Credit team in meetings and monthly reporting
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

Strong knowledge of credit bureau data, systems, and related processes

Expertise of Credit Risk Decision Systems including management of change control and governance processes

A strong analytical mindset to be able to appreciate and investigate complex issues in a methodical manner

Experience using tools such as SAS, SQL, Alteryx, or other similar data analytical tools

Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and convey complex information to management and non-technical colleagues/audiences

An ability to work effectively within a team, imparting best practices and fostering a positive team spirit
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

An understanding and of credit scoring, scorecards, and scorecard development particularly in a retail environment

Familiar with industry-standard credit bureau reporting practices, regulation, and guidelines

Experience of consumer and commercial underwriting, credit bureau data and reporting
-
A background in retail finance or a similar secured asset lending environment

Knowledge of auto finance asset valuation providers and data sets e.g. Glass, CAP

A project management and system testing background
