Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for warehouse organisation, customer service in-house calls, forklift duties and van deliveries when needed. Communication skills are key within this role and being able to coordinate with warehouse staff and customers are essential.
Any past experiences with mixing paint and warehouse arranging is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate a van for the safe transportation of goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the warehouse when not driving, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Skills
- Confidence within warehousing and stock arranging
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver, with a valid commercial driving licence preferred.
- Ability to mix paint is a bonus
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing deliveries and paperwork.
