Service Manager – Baylis Staverton

A role where leadership, people, and performance come together

Baylis Staverton is looking for an experienced and people-focused Service Manager to lead our busy aftersales department representing Suzuki and Kia vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys developing teams, driving performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As Service Manager, you will take ownership of the department’s daily operations, leading from the front to inspire your team, exceed financial targets, and maintain strong relationships with both customers and manufacturer partners.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to commute within one hour of Staverton
Previous management experience within the motor trade (minimum 2 years preferred)
Strong understanding of aftersales operations and customer service standards

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Working every other Saturday morning

You will bring:

At least 3 years’ experience in people management within an aftersales or automotive environment
A proven leadership background with strong communication skills
A target-driven and ambitious mindset
Experience coaching and developing team members with different learning styles
Strong business and analytical skills with the confidence to identify opportunities and implement improvements
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service

The Role

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the service department, ensuring operational excellence across both Suzuki and Kia aftersales operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Achieving and exceeding monthly financial and departmental targets
Delivering consistently high levels of customer satisfaction
Managing and supporting:
Workshop Controller
2 x Service Advisors
4 x Vehicle Technicians
2 x Apprentice Technicians
Coaching, mentoring, and developing your team
Driving departmental performance through KPIs and manufacturer standards
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety procedures
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Suzuki and Kia manufacturer partners
Promoting and living the Baylis core values every day

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
