Join Our After School Club Team! (To start September)
Playworker – Part-Time | Danescourt, Cardiff
Are you fun, reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic about working with children? We’re looking for a fantastic Playworker to join our busy and friendly After School Club team!
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Additional hours available during school holidays in our Holiday Club
About the Role
As a Playworker, you’ll play a key role in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children aged 4 to 12 years. You’ll help plan creative and age-appropriate activities, support children’s social and emotional development, and ensure their well-being during each session.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and lead play activities for children aged 4–12
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff
- Provide a safe and secure setting at all times
- Walk children safely from the school to the club each day
- Work collaboratively with our small, welcoming team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children (early years experience is a bonus!)
- A Level 2 or 3 Playwork qualification, or willingness to complete a Level 2 course
- A caring and proactive approach with great communication skills
- Someone who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment
