About the role
Glasscombe is a new luxury eco-resort located 15 minutes outside Bath, launching in July 2026 with 11 design-led geodesic domes and mirror cabins.
We are hiring two part-time Site Operators to run day-to-day on-site operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who is calm, practical, guest-focused and comfortable taking ownership.
During your shifts, you will be the sole person responsible for the site. You will be supported by contract cleaners and external maintenance providers, but you will be the person making sure the guest experience and property standards are consistently excellent.
This role is well suited to someone with experience in hospitality, holiday accommodation, property operations, guest services, estate management, or a similar hands-on environment.
Working pattern
- 15 -16 working days per month
- Structured rota, usually in 4-day blocks
- Approximate working hours: 10:00am–6:00pm
- Regular weekend work required, usually around two weekends per month
- After-hours monitoring of emergency guest messages on your working days
- Predictable time off when not on shift
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the site during your shifts
- Ensure all guest accommodations and shared areas are clean, ready and maintained to a high standard
- Carry out regular site walks to identify issues before guests notice them
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for guests
- Handle guest questions, requests and issues calmly and professionally
- Coordinate with cleaning contractors and external maintenance providers
- Check that cleaning and maintenance work has been completed properly
- Carry out light practical tasks, such as replacing bulbs, tightening furniture and basic fixes
- Record, report and follow up on maintenance or guest experience issues
- Help create a premium, relaxed and memorable guest experience
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, property operations or a similar role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility
- Practical, hands-on problem solver
- Calm and professional when dealing with guest issues
- Reliable, organised and accountable
- Comfortable working outdoors in a rural environment
- Willing to handle a mix of guest-facing, operational and practical tasks
- Ideally located within a 30-minute drive of Monkton Farleigh
- Reliable transport required due to the rural location
Who this role suits
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in high standards, and likes solving problems without needing constant supervision.
It will not suit someone looking for a desk-only admin role or a purely social guest-hosting role. This is a hands-on operational position with real responsibility during each shift.
