Full job description

David Morton Larbert Ltd is seeking an organised and proactive Office Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our office.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining filing systems, coordinating company events, scheduling appointments, and managing the reception area. You will oversee expenses, ensure billing cycles are adhered to, and assist with general accounting duties, including processing invoices and supporting financial administration.

You will also manage correspondence, including emails, letters, packages, and telephone calls, while providing diary management, travel arrangements, and appointment scheduling for senior management. The role may also involve carrying out administrative research tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate digital and paper filing systems
Process invoices and support financial administration
Oversee expenses and monitor billing cycles
Manage diaries, travel plans, and appointments for senior management
Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence
Support reception duties and general office coordination
Assist with payroll administration (knowledge required)

Essential Requirements:

Previous office administration experience
Experience using the Xero accounting package (or similar software)
Basic payroll knowledge
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
