Job Description:
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering training to groups of trainees in Mechanical Engineering – both practical and theory based.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with trainees and colleagues.
- Support course documentation updates and provide feedback on student assessments.
- Apply best practices to improve training quality and effectiveness.
- Monitor learner progress and ensure training meets performance targets and standards.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to personalise training and maintain professional development
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
- Competent Mechanical hand skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience working in Marine Engineering
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent.
- Previous training experience in an engineering environment

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata’d and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
