Taylored Facilities Management Ltd is a long-established, multi-disciplinary facilities management company delivering electrical, mechanical, building fabric and drainage services across a wide range of commercial clients throughout the North West and beyond.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial & Domestic Plumber / Gas Engineer to join our expanding mechanical services team.
The Role
The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of plumbing, heating and gas-related works across commercial and domestic properties. The role will involve planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, installations and minor project works. The works can be fast moving with no two days being the same.
You will be expected to work independently, communicate professionally with clients, and complete all associated paperwork accurately using our mobile job management system.
Participation in the company's out-of-hours call-out rota is an essential requirement of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance of plumbing and heating systems.
- Reactive plumbing repairs and fault finding.
- Commercial and domestic gas servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Installation and replacement of plumbing and heating systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of hot and cold-water systems.
- Investigation and rectification of leaks and system faults.
- Completion of certification, job sheets and compliance documentation.
- Liaison with clients and site representatives.
- Participation in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a plumbing and heating role.
- Current Gas Safe Registration (CCN1 and relevant domestic qualifications).
- Experience working within commercial properties.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to participate in the company's call-out rota.
Desirable Qualifications
- Commercial gas qualifications.
- LPG qualifications.
- Unvented Hot Water qualification (G3).
- Water Regulations qualification.
- Experience working within facilities management or maintenance contracts.
- Legionella awareness or monitoring experience.
- Enclosed spaces qualification

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Applicants must be flexible to support occasional overtime and participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
