Metcollect , a fast growing and dynamic specialist recycling company is seeking an office based administrator to assist with the management of waste compliance paperwork and weighbridge operations to join our existing team.
Role Overview
The candidate will be responsible for accurately recording vehicle weights, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with site procedures and legal regulations. Data entry of waste movements and providing the necessary compliance paperwork to customers supporting the operations and accounting team will also be required. This role is key to ensuring smooth site operations and accurate tracking of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge system to record incoming and outgoing vehicle weights
- Issue weight tickets, receipts, and delivery notes
- Verify vehicle details, load types, and documentation
- Input and maintain accurate records in computer systems/databases
- Communicate with drivers, site staff, and customers professionally
- Handle basic administrative duties (filing, emails, reports)
- Report faults or issues with weighbridge equipment
- Assist with audits and stock/material reconciliation
Skills & Qualifications
- Computer literate with IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, data entry systems)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organisational and time-management skills
- Previous experience in admin, logistics, or similar environment (preferred)
