CNC Brake Press Operative
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and set up CNC brake press machines
· Accurately bend and form steel components to specification
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
· Select correct tooling and machine settings for each job
· Perform quality checks to ensure precision and consistency
· Work to production targets and deadlines
· Maintain a safe and organised work environment
· Support continuous improvement within the fabrication team
Essential:
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment (min 3 years)
- Working knowledge of PUWER and its application to the safe use of work equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Knowledge and/or experience working with steel or sheet metal
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
