Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and dental health to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
Ensure patient comfort and provide reassurance throughout treatments
Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilise equipment accordingly
Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and clean after procedures
Manage patient records accurately using IT systems
Provide post-treatment advice and instructions to patients
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within the practice

Qualifications

Proven experience in patient care, preferably within a dental or healthcare setting
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Background in nursing or dental assisting is desirable
Proficiency with IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
