We are looking for a talented Front-End Web Developer & UI Designer to join our team and play a key role in creating beautiful, user-focused websites and e-commerce experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of web development, designing engaging user interfaces and bringing them to life through clean, responsive code.
The Role
As a Front-End Web Developer & UI Designer, you will work closely with our design, development and client success teams to deliver high-quality websites and digital experiences.
You will be responsible for designing website concepts and user journeys in Figma or similar before transforming them into fully functional, responsive websites built primarily on WordPress.
Key Responsibilities
- Design engaging website layouts, wireframes and user experiences using Figma or similar.
- Develop responsive, mobile-first front-end websites from approved designs.
- Build and customise WordPress websites using modern development practices.
- Assist with WooCommerce e-commerce projects, including product and category setup.
- Carry out updates, improvements and enhancements on existing client websites.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Assist with website launches, migrations and deployment processes.
- Provide website training and support to clients where required.
- Stay up to date with emerging web technologies, design trends and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with WordPress development.
- Strong UI/UX design skills with experience using Figma or similar.
- Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience creating responsive, mobile-first websites.
- Strong eye for layout, typography, user experience and visual design.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills
- WooCommerce experience.
- Shopify development experience.
- Experience working with multiple projects at one time
- Basic PHP knowledge.
- Experience with website performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals.
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
