Grounded Kitchen – High Wycombe
We’re looking for an experienced local social media manager to take ownership of the High Wycombe store’s digital presence for Grounded Kitchen.
This is a freelance, retainer-based role focused on driving real local awareness, footfall, and community engagement through strong content, storytelling, and influencer activity.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for building and managing the High Wycombe store’s social presence across key platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok), with a strong focus on local relevance, food content, and community engagement.
You’ll work closely with the national marketing team to ensure all content aligns with brand direction, while still bringing a strong local voice and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Plan, create, and post engaging local content for the High Wycombe store
- Capture high-quality photo and video content during site visits (food, people, atmosphere, peak moments)
- Develop content that resonates with Grounded Kitchen’s target customer base (Gen Z, health-conscious, food-led audiences)
Community & Engagement
- Manage daily engagement across social channels (comments, DMs, tags, reposts)
- Build local awareness through consistent, authentic storytelling
- Drive customer interaction and UGC (user-generated content)
Influencer & Local Outreach
- Identify and engage local micro-influencers and creators
- Organise meet-ups, tastings, and in-store content opportunities
- Build ongoing relationships to drive repeat visits and organic reach
Brand Alignment
- Work with the national marketing team to ensure tone, messaging, and campaigns are aligned
- Feed back local insights, trends, and performance learnings
Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media for restaurants, QSR, or food & beverage brands
- Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok growth strategies in local markets
- Confident in content creation (photo, short-form video, basic editing skills)
- Experience in influencer outreach and community building
- Ability to work independently and manage a local store account end-to-end
- Strong understanding of how to attract Grounded Kitchen’s core customer base
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational restaurant environment
Contract & Fee
- Freelance position
- £600 per month retainer
- Includes 2 site visits per month (content capture + influencer meet-ups/tastings)
- Ongoing collaboration with national marketing team for brand direction and campaign alignment
Pay: £600.00 per month
