Full job description

Exbourne Cross Garage is a busy, family run business set in a rural location with a loyal customer base and a solid reputation.

We are looking for a dependable Management Accountant to take full ownership of our books. This is an on-site role with hours to suit a part time or full time position.

You’ll be working closely with the owners to keep our operations running smoothly and providing support to our other office staff.

The Role
This is a position covering everything from daily entries to year-end prep. Your day-to-day will include:

Full Bookkeeping: Managing AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and daily cash flow.
Sage 50 Mastery: Keeping our Sage system accurate, updated, and efficient.
Management Reporting: Preparing monthly P&L reports and talking the owners through the numbers.
Payroll & VAT: Processing monthly payroll for our small team and handling quarterly VAT returns.
Process Improvement: Spotting ways to save costs or tighten up our admin.

What We’re Looking For

Sage 50 Expert: You must be highly proficient with Sage 50
All-Rounder Experience: You’ve managed the "full set" of books before, ideally within a small business or SME.
Trustworthy & Discreet: As a family business, we value integrity and a "can-do" attitude.
Local Knowledge: An interest in the automotive industry is a plus, but not essential.
