ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE The Experienced Dental Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the dental practice. This role involves overseeing the front desk team, maintaining compliance, assisting clinicians with administrative duties, and ensuring a high standard of patient care particularly for complex and implant patients.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Manager to support the operational and administrative needs of the practice, ensuring all reception and compliance processes run efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and Front Desk Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the reception area
- Organise and delegate daily reception tasks to team members
- Ensure an exceptional front-of-house experience for all patients
- Manage appointment bookings, recalls, and cancellations using EXACT software Outlook
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Administrative and Compliance Support
- Assist the Practice Manager with general compliance and CQC requirements
- Maintain up-to-date administrative and policy documentation
- Support clinicians with administrative tasks such as patient correspondence, treatment planning, and referrals
- Ensure all data protection, confidentiality, and health & safety procedures are followed
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Support, guide, and motivate reception staff to deliver excellent service
- Assist with staff rotas, daily task allocation, and reception cover planning
- Promote teamwork and effective communication across clinical and administrative teams
Patient Care and Communication
- Provide a high standard of customer service and patient communication
- Manage and support high-need and implant patients through their treatment journey
- Handle patient concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently
- Build strong relationships with patients, clinicians, and team member
- Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Dental Receptionist in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency with EXACT dental software
- Sound knowledge of CQC compliance and dental practice procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience supporting clinicians and managing implant or complex treatment patients
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Salary : £13.50 /hours 3-4 days a week (expect Tuesdays )
