Veterinary Nurse – Gillingham

Up to £46,000 DOE plus benefits

Working hours:

Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with an average of 40 hours per week (on average 3 shifts per week), including 2:4 weekends which will likely be a weekend of days, weekend of nights and the remainder weekday nights, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

A weekend role with Vets Now allows you to further your ECC knowledge, whilst gaining a second income or balancing family commitments.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
