Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and organised Administrator to join our Residential Conveyancing team in Hartlepool.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys administrative work, takes pride in supporting a team, and is happy working in a dedicated administrative position within a professional legal environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department by managing essential administrative tasks and supporting fee earners.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily administrative tasks including both manual and electronic filing
Open, maintain, and close client and matter files
Prepare and process outgoing mail and documentation
Arrange photocopying and scanning as required
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and diaries for fee earners
Provide support to secretaries and wider team members
Handle client enquiries professionally, primarily via telephone
Ensure confidentiality of all client and company information
Support team members during periods of absence
Contribute to improving departmental processes and efficiencies

Skills:

Previous experience in an administrative role (legal experience desirable but not essential)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
