Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our growing precast concrete manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out pre-cast and post-cast quality inspections on precast concrete products.
· Inspect moulds, reinforcement, inserts, cast components, and finished products to ensure compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
· Conduct dimensional checks and visual inspections to identify defects, non-conformances, or quality concerns.
· Accurately record inspection results, quality data, and non-conformance reports in line with company procedures.
· Work closely with production, engineering, and supervisory teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
· Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures and best practices.
· Assist in investigating customer complaints and internal quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
· Ensure all inspection and testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and used correctly.
· Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
· Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance product consistency and manufacturing efficiency.
Skills and Experience
· Previous experience in a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or Quality Control role within manufacturing, construction materials, or precast concrete environments is preferred.
· Knowledge of precast concrete production processes and quality requirements would be advantageous.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations from specification.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Competent in maintaining accurate records and producing quality reports.
· Proficient in the use of measuring equipment and inspection tools.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
