Full-Time CNC / Laser Machine Operator

Stainless Direct UK – Leicester LE4

Manufacturing beautiful bespoke, made to measure stainless steel worktops and products for the kitchen, bathroom and other areas of the home and garden since 2001.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking CNC / Laser Machine Operator to join our growing manufacturing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a small, skilled team operating and programming a variety of machinery within our busy stainless steel and sheet metal workshop.

Key responsibilities include:

Programming, setting up, and operating laser cutting machines
Programming and operating CNC routers for MDF
Working with stainless steel, aluminium, copper, and mild steel
Loading and unloading large sheets of metal and MDF safely and efficiently
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD files, and job paperwork
Checking quality and quantities of finished components
Performing tooling changes and machine adjustments
Assisting with general workshop fabrication and production duties
Carrying out routine machine maintenance and inspections
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience operating laser cutting and/or CNC machinery
CNC programming experience
Knowledge of CAD software
Mechanical and manufacturing knowledge
Good English communication skills
